Six Blades of Kojiro Every Blade Reward and Collection Route
6 August 2026 | 65
The Six Blades of Kojiro stands out as one of the most mechanically rewarding Mythic Tales in Ghost of Tsushima, demanding both tactical patience and geographic planning. Players who embark on this legendary quest must travel across the perilous landscapes of the Toyotama region to defeat five elite Straw Hat assassins before confronting their master. Successfully conquering each duel provides valuable combat experience, unique localized incentives, and eventually leads to a legendary armor set that can completely transform your playstyle.
Mapping the Optimal Southern Toyotama Route
Your journey effectively begins during Act 2 after arriving at the hidden settlement of Umugi Cove, where you speak to the musician Yamato to trigger the quest line. To maximize travel efficiency and minimize unnecessary backtracking, players should chart a structured path starting with targets located in the southern and western territories. This methodical approach ensures you naturally clear local objectives while seamlessly gathering resources between each dramatic encounter.
The first ideal stop along your optimized path is the Duel in the Drowning Marsh, located just south of the Old Kanazawa Marsh. Here, you will face Yasumasa in a swampy, restricted arena that forces you to rely heavily on precise parrying and quick counters. Defeating him rewards players with standard resource upgrades and clears the map for subsequent northern exploration.
From the marsh, you can move efficiently along the Musashi Coast to initiate the next combat sequence against Kiyochika beneath a roaring waterfall. Fighting near the water demands careful positioning, as the rocky environment can limit your evasion angles during his aggressive unblockable attacks. Overcoming this opponent builds essential mechanical confidence before you transition toward the central and northern territories.
Conquering the Central and Northern Straw Hats
After managing the coastal and marsh challenges, the route naturally guides you toward the scenic yet deadly fields of central Toyotama. Your next target is Hirotsune, who stands waiting at the Duel Among the Spider Lilies, positioned on the northern side of the Field of the Equinox Flower. This arena is visually striking, surrounded by bright red flowers that set a tense atmosphere for a duel requiring patient defense.
Next, adventurers should ride toward the coast below Cloud Ridge Shrine to challenge Tomotsugu on a desolate, sandy shore. This battlefield provides more open space for dodging, but the opponent utilizes rapid strike combinations that can easily break your stance if you mistime your blocks. Completing this fight leaves only one remaining assassin scattered across the open wilderness.
The final preparatory duel takes place east of Yamabushi Peak, where Kanetomo awaits your arrival in a secluded, foggy clearing. He possesses exceptional agility, forcing you to utilize perfect dodges to bypass his heavy standard strikes. Defeated assassins grant deep combat insights, prepping Jin Sakai for the ultimate test awaiting him at the end of the quest line.
The Final Showdown and Ultimate Rewards
Once all five initial Straw Hat combatants have been laid to rest, you must return to Umugi Cove to speak with Yamato once more. The musician will unlock the final phase of the quest, pointing you toward a grand showdown at the Omi Monastery in the northwestern corner of the region. Following the guiding wind past the large red tree leads to the Mirror of Sacred Light cave entrance.
Inside the cave, you will face Kojiro himself in the most intense and lethal duel of the entire Mythic Tale. Kojiro is incredibly aggressive and strings together multiple unblockable attacks, meaning you must stay calm and execute swift counterattacks. Overcoming this legendary swordsman rewards you with the highly coveted Kensei Armor and the Kensei Headband, which drastically increase resolve gains and boost the damage of your Ghost weapons.
